
Yoga is a wonderful way for children to relax, improve co-ordination, self control, focus and strengthen their mind, body and soul. It is not just adults that need to take time out for inner peace these days. In a world where much more is expected of children and young adults than ever before, yoga comes in to their lives to provide more balance and calm. It can really help children who suffer from hyper activity and those who find it difficult to concentrate.
Teaching yoga to children is great fun, and they really enjoy the stories and adventures that go along with the postures, the peace that comes from learning how to meditate, and the freedom that the creative visualisation within relaxation gives them; wonderful for their young, inspirational minds!
If children learn yoga techniques from an early age, they carry the knowledge and benefits right through in to adult life.
Yoga sessions can be offered for children and young adults of all ages at school, or after school clubs.
